The function turns on the wireless connection, not the licence: CarPlay must already work over the cable. Object 0555 (function_configuration_connectivity): Wi‑Fi module, access point and client at 2.4 and 5 GHz, app_connect_over_wifi = Yes, phone projection from “USB only” to “On”, MirrorLink “On”, Bluetooth, wlan_aps_to_ccu_routing = 0. On firmware with objects 0804/0805 (as on 8Y0035057L, software 4580) also 0804 5_ghz_wlan = 1 and the wireless projection flags in 0805 = 1 — names from the firmware adaptation table. On the older layout — 0516, 0B43, 0517, 0518. The last step sets the multimedia region: both parts, 0B49 and 09CB, = DE (4445). On a Chinese unit the 5 GHz access point and wireless projection appear only with a European region, not with CN or RU; both parts are written together, otherwise the region flips at start-up. The region also changes the FM grid and the regional MMI settings. app_connect_over_wifi is switched on — that is what the bit is called in the firmware. The MMI restarts after writing; then turn on Wi‑Fi in the MMI settings, delete the old pairing on the phone and in the MMI and connect the phone again. Rollback — object backups from History.
