In short
Without your consent odyx.app sets no cookies and makes no requests to Yandex or Google: Yandex Metrica and the Google Ads tag only load after you press “Accept” in the banner. Declining changes nothing.
This page is about the website only. What the Odyx app sends to the server is described in the Privacy Policy.
What Metrica collects
IP address, browser and device type, screen size, language, the page and the site you came from, link tags (utm), time on page, clicks and scrolling. With Session Replay (Webvisor) on — a recording of pointer movement, clicks and scrolling. The site has no input fields.
Taps on the App Store button are counted separately: which part of the page and which source.
What Google Ads receives
Only after “Accept”: IP address and browser, the page address, the click ID of our ad from the link address (if you came from one) and the fact that you tapped the App Store button. The tag sets _gcl_* cookies (see below), and Google matches the App Store visit to the ad click.
Ad personalisation based on this data is turned off.
Why
To see where visitors come from, which pages and features interest them and where the site is awkward, and to stop paying for Odyx ads on Google that lead nobody to the App Store. The site itself shows no ads, and we sell no data.
Who processes the data
The controller is Sergei Pavlov. Metrica is run on our behalf by YANDEX LLC (Moscow, Russia) under the Yandex Metrica terms. Data is stored in Russia. We only see aggregated reports. The legal basis under Federal Law No. 152-FZ is your consent (Art. 9).
For visitors from the EEA, the UK and Switzerland this is a transfer to a country without an adequacy decision. The legal basis is your explicit consent (Art. 6(1)(a) and 49(1)(a) GDPR, § 25 TDDDG).
The Google Ads tag is processed by Google Ireland Limited (Dublin, Ireland) and Google LLC (USA) under the Google Ads Data Processing Terms. Data is transferred to the USA (cross-border transfer); Google LLC is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. The tag only runs with your consent — this is the legal basis under both 152-FZ and the GDPR (Art. 6(1)(a)).
Cookies
Metrica: _ym_uid and _ym_d (1 year) — tell repeat visits apart; _ym_isad (2 days) — ad blocker check; _ym_visorc (30 minutes) — Session Replay. Yandex may set its own cookies on its domains.
Google Ads, only after consent: _gcl_au (90 days) — links visits to ads; _gcl_aw (90 days) — the click on our ad, if you came from one. Google may set its own cookies on its domains. After consent the click ID may also be carried between pages of the site in the link address.
The site itself only keeps your banner choice (odyx.consent) and, after consent, the referral source for the life of the tab (odyx.src) so that the App Store link carries the source tag.
App Store links
Links to the App Store carry a campaign tag: the source and page type, e.g. w.google.fn. Apple uses it to show us how many downloads came from each source. The tag contains none of your data.
Consent to the processing of personal data
By pressing “Accept” in the banner you give the controller (Sergei Pavlov) your consent to the processing of your personal data: IP address, cookie data, browser and device details, the addresses of pages and of the site you came from, your actions on the site's pages and the click ID of our ad. Purposes — web analytics of odyx.app and measuring Odyx ads. Actions — collection, recording, storage, use in aggregated reports, transfer on our behalf to YANDEX LLC (Russia), Google Ireland Limited (Ireland) and Google LLC (USA, cross-border transfer), deletion; processing is automated.
Consent is valid until withdrawn. You can withdraw it at any time with the “Cookies” button at the bottom of the page or by writing to thebordev@gmail.com. Details — in the Privacy Policy, section 14.
Withdrawing consent
Press “Cookies” at the bottom of any page and choose “Decline”. Metrica and Google cookies can be deleted in your browser settings. Questions — thebordev@gmail.com.
