High beam assist memory

No need to switch high beam assist on again every trip.

Odyx Pro🔒 SFD activation required

What changes

Unit 09, object 0A60 (Fernlicht_assistent): byte 0, bit 4 = 0. High beam assist stays on after the ignition is switched off.

Details

Only for cars with high beam assist (camera in the windscreen). Object 0A60 holds the assist reset parameter: 1 resets the assist when the ignition is switched off, 0 keeps its state. The group and the meaning of the parameter are confirmed by open guides for unit 09 of this generation (unit software 0174 and later); the bit number comes from a single source so far, so check the preview. After a long standstill the unit may still reset the assist. a3c first checks that the long coding of 09 is empty, as on the new unit. Unit 09 on MQB Evo is SFD-protected — you need a token for unit 09. To restore the factory behaviour, set the same bit to 1.
