GLONASS and Galileo in navigation

Navigation sees more satellites — a more precise position in the city.

Odyx Pro↻ MMI restarts

What changes

Module 5F (MIB3): object 0E38, byte 0, bits 4 and 5 = 1. The navigation receiver uses GLONASS and Galileo together with GPS.

Details

GNSS receiver configuration from the MIB3 firmware adaptation table (bit 4 — GLONASS, bit 5 — Galileo); usually already on in European cars, off in cars from China. The other bits of the object are left unchanged. MIB3 only (from model year 2021): the MIB2+ (MH2p, 2019–2020) has no such object, and Odyx refuses before writing. If module 5F is SFD-protected (Q3 F3 from model year 2021), Odyx asks for a token; some Chinese MIB3 units have no SFD — then no token is needed. The MMI restarts after writing. Rollback: write the object backup from the history.

  2. Odyx scans the units, recognises the car and shows what is on and what can be enabled.
  3. Open the feature card: before / after / how to check, and the change plan.
  4. Confirm the write. A backup is made automatically; put it back from the logbook any time.
