What changes

Module 17: long coding, byte 10, bit 1 = 1. The cluster's trip computer shows the oil temperature.

Details

Engine oil temperature in the cluster's trip computer. On the basic virtual cockpit without navigation there may be no result. Long coding of the Q3 F3 instrument cluster (20 bytes); the map does not fit the A3 8Y cluster (8 bytes) — Odyx checks the coding length. From model year 2021 the cluster may be SFD-protected; then it refuses to write without a token. Rollback: the same bit back to 0.

How to enable it in Odyx

  1. Plug an ELM327 Bluetooth LE adapter into the OBD port (on a Mac also Wi‑Fi, USB or DoIP).
  2. Odyx scans the units, recognises the car and shows what is on and what can be enabled.

  4. Confirm the write. A backup is made automatically; put it back from the logbook any time.
