What changes
Unit 09, object 0D20: byte 0, bit 4 = 0 — “Automatisches Heckwischen” off. With the front wipers on, the rear wiper no longer wipes by itself when reverse is engaged.
Details
Setting of the newer MQB body control module; its factory name is “Heckscheibenwischer — Automatisches Heckwischen”. For bodies with a rear wiper (Sportback); the saloon has none. Object 0D20 also exists on the older module but with bit 3, so a3c first checks that the unit 09 long coding is empty, as on the newer module. Comfort rear wiping is a separate setting and stays unchanged. Unit 09 on MQB Evo is SFD-protected — a token for unit 09 is needed. Roll back by writing the object backup from history.
